Come in and meet us!
I'm Peter, one other half of Keynote Ministries! I was born in Birmingham, England, and as a result of an illness whilst still a toddler, I became blind. I was educated at a school for blind children, where I also learnt to play the piano. I first heard about the love of Jesus from my primary teacher who taught me to read and write braille. She also encouraged me to memorize Scripture, but as the years went by, I cherished an ambition to use my ability to play the piano in show business. However, I went to training college, and met some folk of my own age who had a living relationship with Jesus Christ. And, just a week before my eighteenth birthday, I came into that wonderful relationship too. These are but sketchy outlines: my story is featured in the book "One day I'll see you", details of which you can see elsewhere on our website. Please browse on, and get to know us better.
br>I'm Margaret, the other half of Keynote Ministries. Welcome! Until I went to London to train as a nurse, I spent my first eighteen years or so in Guernsey, one of the Channel islands. I had a happy childhood, in spite of our home having been taken over by German officers, the Channel islands having been under occupation during World War II. My parents and brother Harry were all Christians, and as a result of some special meetings held in our Mission hall in Guernsey, I received Christ as my Saviour, and my life as a Christian began! The nursing training was tough, but life in London in the 50's was pretty exciting with the Billy Graham crusades in Haringay and Wembley. I joined one of the crusade choirs, Cliff Barrows conducting. From a young Christian's perspective, it was all very encouraging. After training as a nurse, I returned to work in Guernsey. Then I met Peter as a result of an islandwide gospel Mission. We were married four years later. Our three children, Tim, Chris, and Beth have long since left home, having families of their own.
